Hello everybody. I hope everybody has been having an exceptional summer! It’s been a while since I’ve actively updated my site, and I don’t know about you, but I’ve really enjoyed the summer lull this year. The markets haven’t quite been what they’ve been in recent years, so it’s been a perfect opportunity to go outside, enjoy the sun, and get away from the markets for a while. I hope all you students remember how important it is to give your brain a rest. It’s so easy to burn out in this business, and the one thing I’ve learned is that in order to have staying power in this arena, you have to constantly take time out to recharge the most important muscle in your body: your brain.
Now that it’s time to start getting more focused to get back into the swing of things, that means that it’s time to kick off another blog segment. I recently received an email from somebody who was interested in seeing a big picture series using the ES. Although I’ve already done a big picture series using the Euro (6E), I felt that this person’s request was a pretty good one. There’s such a big difference between the two instruments, and following the big picture on one is completely different, to a certain degree anyway, that doing a big picture series for the ES should provide some interesting, fresh content for everybody to enjoy. The segment will start just after the Labor Day holiday, so mark your calendars. But don’t worry, I’ll send out a notice to my list, so if you’re not currently on it, head over to the homepage and sign up for my newsletter.
Enjoy the rest of your summer!
Best wishes and safe trading,
Frank
